I've gone through
Friendster,
Xanga,
MySpace and a few others, but it wasn't until 2 months ago that I actually started "
blogging."
November, 2006 is when I set up
my first blog, with the intention of blogging. Well, actually, I was testing it before setting up my
corporate blog. Then I decided to keep the first blog and use it for
web design.
The
Enterprise Resource Services Blog was and still is being used to keep people updated about new
job openings and other
business related info.
Around that same time, I happened to help someone at work with a problem she was having while using excel. This gave me the
bright idea of making a
tips and tricks blog since it wasn't
web-related and I didn't want to post it on the
Enterprise Resource Services Blog.
Up to that point, I had only been using
blogger, but I wanted more control and customization so I decided to try
WordPress on my
Tech and Electronics Review Blog. Again, it was only supposed to be for testing at first,
but I loved WordPress so much that I began posting only to my
Tech and Electronics Review Blog and almost forgot about the first 3 blogs.
So, at this point I have 4 blogs, and plan to implement
3 more blogs for other companies. Each of those companies, needs to be trained (some more than others) on how to use a blog. Also, I will probably need to help them out at first with some tutorials and ideas on how they can fully take advantage of these "
New" technologies.
I am having enough trouble managing 4 blogs on my own, but adding 3 more to my load seems crazy! Not to mention, the fact that these companies are in
different industries and since they do not have any prior blogging experience, nor do they have a
regularly updated newsletter, they don't realize how much work is involved with these tasks.
Now that I think about it, blogs weren't made to do what I am looking for. What I am really looking for is a
CMS that can handle
multiple clients separately while still allowing those separate clients to collaborate on projects through the same interface. Also, a plug-in for posting job openings and receiving resumes would complete the package.
If you have used a
CMS like this and have any
recommendations, please let me know!!
Thanks for taking the time out to read this entire post!
